Surely the words “wedding day” remind you colors such as white, light pink, ivory, cream…all very elegant colors that traditionally identify the wedding day. Actually these are not the only options you have, but if you are a curious and eccentric bride you will appreciate new suggestions about colors of wedding. There are lots of unusual solutions speaking about colors, we took a quick reading of specialized websites and wedding magazines because it’s important to us to be well informed. So we decided to write a brief post on WEapulia blog in order to summarize the trends colors of 2015. Floral decorations, accessories, bridal gowns, suites, party favors, tablecloths should be inspired to an harmonious  range of colors that becomes the theme of the wedding day. So it is very important to choose the colors that are suitable for bride and groom’s  tastes and personalities.

The newest nuance of the year has been introduced by pantone.com on its own website, that’s marsala color and it has to be said,  it warms up eyes and heart like a glass of good wine. Marsala certainly is ideal for autumn weddings, it reminds grapes loaded pergolas and centuries old vineyards. Now please, close your eyes and try to picture this: a worm October day (we’re in Apulia, south of Italy, and here the average temperature during the autumn is 20°/25°), a romantic outdoor ceremony, the groom and the bride exchanging vows, on the background vineyards and olive trees tipical of Murgia hills, some touches of marsala color here and there throughout the location. That would be a really charming version of a country chic style!

For those who love pastel colors there is a wide range of blueish shades : from the classic blue, to the lucite green, to the scuba blue and to the aquamarine blue. All of these are suitable for a wedding on the beach, close to clear Apulian sea. You would  find the same shades of our breathless seaside on the  fine mesa en place (table setting) tailor made for your requests and your dreams.

This will be the year of strawberry color, cream and tangerine shades especially for spring weddings. Flashes of these colors in the bride bouquet and in the groom boutonniere call to mind the spring finally has come after the long and cold winter. Otherwise if you are going to get married in December and you want new ideas for wedding centerpieces and tableau de marriage we suggest you to consider two elegant colors: the ice grey and the toasted almond. Since both of them are neutral colors they perfectly match with intense shades like red and silver.

In closing we can say these are just few updates about a really huge subject that could drive the bride crazy for months, that’s why to make it easier the expert consultancy of a good wedding planner is precious. So what about you? What’s your favourite color?
